i dont think this game is meant for single player

Single player game did not quite impress me.

In fact,

I was frustrated by the overwhelming number of monsters

the number of the monsters is manageable, that's for sure, but what i mean by "overwhelming" is that it is annoying to cast every single spell every time,

It could have been much better if the game could somehow memorize my spells so that way I can hit , for example, z key, then it automatically casts the spell?

because players like myself, are just lazy.

I am used to shooting rockets by clicking mouse buttons.

qdf w click w click w click w ww w asf asf esf..

that's just too complicated.
It is too hard to do all kinds of stuffs by myself.

If, i thought, if i could play with my friends,
then, i think, the game will be much sweeter.

Also, what's the point of having a re-spawn spell if I have nobody to re-spawn?

I felt like playing L4D by myself, with no boots, with no special zombies,

Though I have to say firing magic like a mad man was quite fun.

But i believe I "need" MP in order to fully experience its sweet potential.

So far the demo was
disappointing,

but I will give it one more shoot, if it provides free weekends offer,
so that way I can truly play this game with other people,
and, hopefully, purchase.

Have been having a blast with it single player actually. Sure probably better with friends, but single player is still quite fun.

It is fun, as i stated, but not for the players like me.
Too complicated.
I needed other players to classify my spells in order to make the gameplay much easier.

I would prefer different controls, its weird using the right stick to select magic.

Other than the controls, the game is nice.

Keyboard and mouse work.

I know what you mean.
This game seems to be a Street Fighter RPG with combos :)

Try to play with others, so you can focus on one spell.

For single player I often split the enemies with a shield (E) and then kill them in groups (Shift, S, D) or one by one (A, S, F).

In the beginning it's not really necessary to pick the best combo against enemies. Since you are not limited in mana or something similar use area damage often (spells with shift).

- Heal often (W, middle mouse button).
- Protect yourself from much damage (E)
- Divide and conquer

Maybe you can enjoy it in single player this way, too.

hmm I'm having no problem I already have like 20 spell combos memorized and I don't even think about it while playing... Must just be a long time gamer skill.

Great players like you do exist, it's just a small minority though.

I've just now finally enjoyed the game making 10 macro's. There is still plenty of skill moving around, knowing to self aim, shoot etc. But so much more enjoyable for me. This is old-school and challenging no doubt.

Easiest way to get started is to haste around and spam AOE cold. That gives you time to do stuff.

I was frustrated by the crappy, unresponsive key commands (holding down shift and right mouse click will not cast a spread spell, or whatever it's called). Very annoying to say the least.
