Depends, if you can communicate well it can make it easier, in most cases though it will be harder. Spell hurt players as well, so you have to watch your fire (no 4 meteor showers at the same time for example :P).

I think what he means to ask is if the monsters get more difficult depending on the number of players, like Borderlands did.

However, I don't know the answer.

The difficulty itself does not change, so it can go either way.

It's easier if you can communicate and work together.
It's harder if you have guys running around spamming AOE spells and not reviving.

I found with 3 other decent players we were moving through adventure a lot faster than if I was playing alone.
