Im steam user since 2007 and i never ever had a problem like this , when the last weekly mutation ( wich it was this past friday ) came my l4d2 update got stucked in either on " downloading starting" or " update paused" and if i go into the downloads tab it shows " l4f2 : 7 megas of 35.7 ) and it say " suspended" or nothing at all like if there wasnt anything to dl not even the image with the game about to update, and if i press resume nothing happens or again shows the same messages; also besides this when i try to verify the game files after a long wait ( sometimes less) when it reaches some percent suddenly it closes the validation and it say that " server are to busy ....try again later " But this is happening since the last 3 days , untill today sunday when i decided to try deleting the local files and everything in order to re-dl the whole game again , and now it is worse than before because when steam is preparing the files to install again the game , Yet again the " servers too busy .." bla bla appears But the game list say " downloading started" and Nothing happens .
What i have tried to fix this ? Veryfieng cache wich failed; defragment wich failed saying " steam cannot defrag at 100% percent due a high fragmentation in your hard drive , use the pc tools ..." This can not be possible because i defragmented my HD drive 2 Times manually trough the normal pc tools and it is completely Fine; changed the dl regions getting the same messages and errors ; for the last deleting the local files and installing ( stucked again as i say ) again.
The wierd thing is that all of this is happening Only with L4D2 , i have verified , defrag and such every single game on my list and all those actions Works fine and perfect , currently my steam is downloading-updating 4 of my games in the most normal expected way., but the only one which is stucked in something beyond my acknowledges is L4D2.
I know Valve is a serious company , that is why i been buying games here since several years ago , so I trust that you will review my issue and you will give me a serious responsable answer.
Sorry for the wall of text , but im confused and a bit anxious with this problem, as i said i never ever had such a problem like this , and i can not understand why if the rest of the games are downloading-updating-working fine , L4D2 suddenly is broken or something.
Thanks in advance.
ps: this is the second time i post this because i ddint found l4d2 subforums first , so my apologizes , plz im not trying to spam or anything i just have a real problem and i need some help.
