Forgive an old mans questions, but if I purchase this on D2D to get the $10 discount, will I be able to register it on Steam? I went to the page for "Which retail CD Keys are accepted on Steam?" and it was not listed, but this is supposed to be a Steamworks game. Also, if I can register it on Steam will it be updated by Steam whenever the updates are available? If anyone else wants to get the discount the Promotion Code is wetkitty.

This is a Steamworks only game, so it doesn't matter where you buy it from it will register on steam. as for the second question, yes, whenever the game updates steam will automatically update it, cause its a steamworks game.
