Minuteman's skin missing

The game works fine, and I validated all files successfully. For some reason, though, Minuteman's skin in the first mission shows up as a pink square, unable to be attacked. In addition, in the character viewer, the skin is a white cube with an X over each face. I found what looks like this, and a couple of other missing skins, in another folder, but I have no idea where they're supposed to go. Any help would be appreciated quite a bit, as this game looks great.
