My bars, lounges, and clubs are always empty in Bridgeport. When my sims are out it is just the bouncer and bartender and if lucky one other sim at the bar. Has anyone else noticed empty bars?
I have read on the officialsims 3 forum this is a bug and there are a number of theories how to fix it.

This is a brief summary of the fix I’d like to try. It will trick the program to thinking I have the best computer regardless of what I acutely have. It seems to have a problem identifying the i7 corectly, and possiblyset my cpu score much lower then it should be.
SHORTVERSION:
1) Be sure file extensions are shown on your PC.
2) Make sure you the Electronic Arts directory in your program files isn'twrite-protected so that you can edit/delete files within it.
3) Go into C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 LateNight\Game\Bin
4) Copy the contents of the GraphicsRules.sgr file into a notepad and editthe cpu levels from 1, 2, 3, 4 to 4, 4, 4, 4. Change the notepad's name toGraphicsRules.sgr.
5) Make a backup of your original GraphicsRules.sgr then replace it withthe new GraphicsRules.sgr you made.
6) For safety, make the new GraphicsRules.sgr read-only.
7) The game now ignores your processor rating and allows a max of 20 simson any lot. You may exerience a drop in FPS if your processor can't handle them. Revert back or lower the values from 4s to 3s. Also, patches to the game will overwrite this file, so you'll have to do this again after apatch.
But I cannot find where steam keeps the game files, therefore I can’t findthe file GraphicsRules.sgr. Does anyone know how I can modify this file with the steam version? How many people have empty bars/clubs?
