I wonder how many people game it a poor score while they were waiting at the loading screen. A shame really, if only they'd checked these forums first for a solution instead of rage-reviewing. :(

But that's what kids do these days.
They like to spend daddys money on new games and then get really angry on the internets
Raaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwww.
And yeah. It's a shame those reviews are so bad.
Problem is only angry people really bother to post to sites like that.
I love the game. Play it loads but I really can't be bothered to sign up to yet another website to write a good review to say so.

First time bothering to write a review at metacritic here. Just curious, does it take time for the review to show up or is it instant? Wrote quite a lengthy one, would hate to lose that. Didn't see a confirmation or something after submitting. :(

Im experiencing this issue and see nothing on the forums. Honestly, if this is a known issue, there should be a sticky thread explaining the work around. No one wants to buy a game, then have to go forum searching for a fix.
I am going to go ahead and jump on the bandwagon of Atomic/Breach are a POS.
*Edit*
If the fix you are talking about is to filter out dedicated servers, thats not a fix at all. Listen servers are an absolute piece of crap pinging at the lowest about 150.

Eughh, search function?
I'll save you the effort.

If I had the power to make it sticky I would do. The problem is being looked into by the devs so it shouldn't be a problem for much longer.
*Edit* if you really want to play then put up with 150 ping. If not then wait a day or two for the next patch.

You should rephrase that to "If you really want to waste your time on this piece of crap, then you should put up with the incompetence that is Atomic".

I love wasting my time with this game, it's quite fun really, especially after the patch yesterday solved the issues I was having. They are still working hard on other patches according to their official forum, so anything else should be resolved fairly soon.
It is easy to sit and bash a small time developer all you want, but they have been communicating with people more than most other companies, and are working hard to solve the issues. It's depressing how impatient the gaming generation is these days, or not understanding of the difficulties PC game development faces with the countless user configurations that exist. Even AAA titles have issues at the start.

It is easy to sit back and bash small time gamers all you want. Honestly, the difference between this crap and a AAA title (or even a competent indie developer) is that when such signifigant issues exist, a professional company will get a hotfix patch out asap. This game has been out a week now, and still has the same massive issue.
It's depressing how patient players like you are these days. When you release a product (PC Game) that is defined by its multiplayer, it is expected to atleast be functional with dedicated servers. If not, then a fix should, in any scenario, be out with 24-48 hours addressing the situation.
I have been gaming for 13 years, and I have seen a lot of duds in this time. However, I think this one takes the cake.

You do understand Atomic Games is a very small team with no publisher funding and assistance in patches, correct? You really cannot compare AAA development and independent development. They are working on issues, and they have already released a patch that solved problems for a great many people. I went from being able to only join player hosted servers to dedicated servers, so obviously things are being worked on.
More patches are already declared to be on the way soon.

If you have been gaming for 13 years then surely you remember how unreliable browser servers for games have been in the past, Counterstrike was awefull for trying to join any game (CS:S was not much better), and that was years after it's release!
You only have to look at the number of gamers playing counterstrike on steam at anytime to see how little that held the game back.

Well i reviewed it in the end.
I'm playing it too much and having too much fun to let angry little pre-pubes attempt to damage sales.

Lets just hope this game doesn't go the same way as Shattered Horizon (another cheap indie FPS). It was really good but was never promoted enough and never got enough players on board to make it a sucess.

I reallylike the game, but i can undestand the bad reviews. I mean the netcode is one of the worst ever seen, laggy shoppy etc. Thrwoing grenade is a joke, sometimes you don't even see where your grenade has landed. And there are many other minor flaws. Ans some Maps should be improved.
I wish the communication between the developers and the player swould be better. I still don't what they're doing now and what the planns are.

Greath you should visit the official forums. The devs are very active there.
And I do agree with you about the grenades. They are very strange... i just kind of got used to it and almost forgot about it!
