when i seen the trailer on steam i was like "omg omg omg omg DK3!!!" and bought it immedialty without checking reviews and forums. and yes, i was disappointed (to say the least).

I blame the markting guys that tricked me, i'm very angry against them !

It's a good game and i would buy it anyway.
So WHY cheating about the real gameplay of dungeons ?
The gameplay of dungeons is good ! don't you know that ?

All you managed to do is to make us angry and write tons of forum post about how it's not DK3 and how happy we would be if it was a DK3 clone, if it was something else , if it was another game, if it was cheaper, ... instead of writing about dungeons.

This was a very very dirty trick (you little filthy creature! :o ) and you deserve all the negatives posts written in this forums. (even if i disagree with them)

You could ask Steam for a refund, but I think you tricked yourself by not doing any research or by playing the German demo that is out.

I don't know where they said it was going to be DK3 anymore than "it might be the next DK3", so blame yourself for taking in the hype, I guess.

Whilst I'm not angry and screaming for a refund, the gameplay IS very limited.

Once you have set up your ideal dungeon you don't even need to be present for the game to run.

I calculated the perfect gauntlet for heroes to run which fattened them up and than killed them regardless of class at >90% satisfaction. (both monsters and heroes were max level by that time)

This meant that when I left and forgot to pause I came back saw I had accumulated ~670000 soul energy and ~620000 gold.

I was gone for a good 2 hours, if the game runs without my involvement that is either the greatest compliment you could ever give me or pretty much the reason why it bores me.

I become obsolete the second I master the game.

With only 3 styles of dungeons there is not much to master either.

Slightly content with the game, would have rather paid 25-30 for it than 45.

The ad-people might deserve the hate, but not the devs. And I'm quite sure it's only the devs reading these forums, so screaming at them isn't really helping. Good of you to make this thread, though. I agree.

I explained on the official forum where the issue comes from. Its the video. We look at a dungeon keeper scene, we hear the words, you have seen this before and we think, dam right its Dungeon Keeper.

But that never crossed the devs minds, there where thinking World of War Crash. Which technically is true but you have to have been really sheltered not to have lept to the DK conclusion right away.

Still the game is good, it is worth buying but I am sure the DK link cause them dearly in the long run. Shame, didnt have to happen but it has and is happening.

Still I hope it does not effect sequals.

The marketing really bit me in the ♥♥♥ so to speak. If I knew what this game was, I would never have purchased it. But I saw it and "Cool, looks just like Dungeon Keeper" and no further thought. Bam, purchased, installed, WTF??!?!?! heh

hi
agree,i was myself a bit desapointed to discover it have nothing to do with a new dk2 sequel.
but after played it for 10hours, i need to admit : its a fun game.
it remind me more magestycs by some parts.
there is a lots of humor by the various dialogs and the quests are interresting ( very nice work on the french translation ).
the rpg part is also fun, you can upgrade your main heroe
the only bad things i can say about is that it can have more rooms to build ( 3 is too few ) and may be the hanshmen need to be teawked a bit.
may be a multiplayer part can be added ,and a possibility to play again finished mission, or to select them.
from what i checked on the files, i think , mods can be done - i hope - and may be a talented team/guys will bring us a successor of dk2 with it because the engine used is really nice
