its nothing like dungeon keeper, more like tower defence/farmville game where the heroes are the ones being farmed and monsters are just cannon fodder.

buy if that your thing, just do not buy expecting a spiritual successor to dungeon keeper.

Bioshock was a spiritual successor of System Shock 2 and yet was a very different game. I feel it is fine for Dungeons to be called a spiritual successor of DK because it clearly is. It is not at all a DK clone though.

lol, and why? Dungeons is the spiritual successor of DK just because they just they copied the concept art?

You just have to put some rooms with stuff to entertain the heroes and some points of spawns to kill they at beginning of the game. Once you've done that you just have to wait and see how the game ends. The game is boring.

Well, if you are a fan of tower defense games you will like Dungeons, but if you dont...

For me, Dungeons is just a flash tower defense game with cool graphics. Like Defense Grid: The Awakening but worse.

/agreed.

I regret getting this game when I did, should have waited until the sales. certainly won't be a game I write a recommendation for.

I will agree with Smokerboy on one point; "Bioshock was a spiritual successor of System Shock 2 and yet was a very different game." Both games rule.

i can see how a lot of peope would have been fooled by how this games looks

if you look at the pics it even looks like a cool dungeon keeper

bio shock and system shock look nothing like each other they are so different in look time period and even were they are set its only the use of the word shock that puts them together

untill you mentioned it i didnt even know they were ment to be connected and i played all the system shocks and all the the bio shocks

i played dungeon keeper years ago and when i saw this i really thought it was a new updated dungeon keeper

but i now have a new rule i never buy any game unless its £10 or less and most i will only pay £5

i never get fooled into buying a naff game and the game i buy is fully patched and working as intended

when i see dungeons for £5 i think ill pick it up as i like tower defence games

Wouldn't a better rule, that'll still let you play some games, be 'play the demo first?' :D

I learnt that the hard way with the poor performing port of GTA 3! At least they fixed it in Vice City. :D

It is important to understand what a spiritual successor is. A good page I found on the subject is,

http://dictionary.sensagent.com/spiritual+successor/en-en/

Bioshock having the shock in the title is no coincidence. The developers themselves are the ones who said Bioshock is a spiritual successor of System Shock. The point of bringing that up is to show that a game can be a spiritual successor and still be completely different. If you wanted Dungeons to play like DK then you were wanting a DK clone, not a spiritual successor.
