I have both a PS3 and a PC capable of gaming.

I do like Portal and will be getting 2 on PS3.

Now I have been playing with the KIllzone 3 multiplayer demo and I have to say one thing.

Move is nearer to KB and mouse support than any other control schema I have played with.

It is literally point and shoot.

Would be very good if Valve could include it.

Hmmm, now that's an interesting idea. Portal 2 using PSMove....sounds like it could be interesting.

I don't have move and no intent on getting it, I have a wii, that's all I need. Sure PSMove is accurate and is generally well built, but it is just a gimmick. Damn expensive and no games that justify it. /opinion

But I think I heard somewhere when they announced all platforms that PSMove wouldn't be included. I may be wrong but even so I doubt they'd have put the time and effort into learning PS Move so it feels right for portal 2, it may be included in a future update but I very much doubt it on release.

I don't have Move either, just seemed like it might be interesting to try if I ever got it.

Came to find out if portal 2 would support move. Like the op i just put an hour into kz3 with the move. Blew me away. I am a hardcore pc gamer, and i can say without reservation that the Move absolutely destroys the mouse in accuracy.

The first 5 minutes were a bit awkward, but after that i was aiming as fluidly as if i were using my 2000dpi mouse. By the end of the hour i had already surpassed what i have achieved with a mouse after 10 years.

Please someone tell me valve is making use of this controller.

VALVe stated that Portal 2 will not get Move , they said one of theyr next Games like Episode 3 or Portal 3 would have Move , if ever to come out.

@FourTwnny : so your a Hardcore Pc Gamer with a 2000Dpi mouse?
How the hell do you aim ? No wonder that you aim better with Move ..

Man my mouse has 5600 Dpi and a Optical sensor .. thats what you need at least if your a Hardcore Pc Gamer ..

hmm, i may have to borrow my brothers psmove to try this out. I still probably wont be sold, but sounds like it could be okay... but if its anything like redsteel on the wii... =/ i dunno it feels awkward and makes my arm ache zooming in all the time... is there any KBM support on ps3 yet? I heard LBP2 would have KBM support for level editing which would be awesome but haven't heard of this since release and havent tried it out yet... If so then I may (FINALLY) invest in a high DPI mouse, it's about time I did that anyway, it's annoying for pixel perfect shooting (IE playing sniper), and one pixel left is one side of someones head and a pixel right is the other side... stupid aiming ><

bah. 2000dpi is more than enough. A few years ago it was the best you could get and people called it overkill then.

It is all about balance, to much sensitivity makes small movements hard, to little makes big movements hard. Honestly i think i could get by with a 1200dpi mouse, it's not like i am maxing out my sensitivity in game, i always have it a lot lower than max.

nothing like the Wii. Wii is garbage accuracy and i would never in a million years recomend anyone use any form of 6-axis or 4-axis (don't remember what wii-mote uses) controller to try and play fps with.

Move is an entirely different animal. Like i said above, it actually works. 1:1 accuracy. Really is the pinnacle right now. You just have to try it to see. Really takes a few minutes to shake the awkward feeling. You have cross-hairs on screen that move around, instead of having an always moving camera with centered crosshairs. I think that is one of the big reasons it is easier to use. It is just more natural to feel and see.

PS3 has always supported mouse/kb, but the only developer to ever make use of it was Epic with UT3. Never really caught on, and they segregated servers to controller uses and kb/mouse users. To be honest it was kinda jumpy in UT3.

They already said they won't. (http://gamerant.com/portal-2-coop-playstation-move-3d-phil-26860/)

YES They did ....., but then again 1 year ago they also said that they weren't going to bring Portal 2 to the PS3 but look what happened at Sony's E3 2010 conference :). PS Move support for Portal 2 at launch or through a future update?, I wouldn't be surprised lol. Valve always deny stuff, then they annouce it later. Anything is possible in Valve land :D!

EDIT: @FourTwenny, sorry but actually you're wrong. Epic Games isn't the only developer who added KB & M support to their game for the PS3. Treyarch added keyboard support for Black Ops on the PS3 for ZORK. Im not sure about 360 ...

i believe one of the two delays was because of the PC motion controller support, so i wouldn't be totally surprised if Move was supported at release, or as an update.

I saw the news on the PC motion controller, and if they support that can't see any reason not to support Move.

I have used most control types, I do admit I find the keyboard part of keyboard and mouse a bit awkwards, the children have a Wii and I am unimpressed by it.

Until I tried a Move on Sports Champions I was unsure, good on Tumble which is a block stacking game.

I am ever so used to the Sony DS controller, and do find the extra control with the DS3 over the old PS2 design is nice.

But after a bit of Killzone 3 multiplayer beta I had to bite the bullet and order the navigation controller. I am really going to practice this and get as good as I am on Uncharted 2 multiplayer.

The Move support is good, you can blind fire as well as you can aim fire when using the DS3.

I mainly PC game when there is rubbish on TV but since my PC game collection is 75% Steam at least I go for quality, I love the Orange Box.

Valve are very much welcomed by the PS3 crowd, if they support us we will support them. A good game is a good game.

I will admit I am careful about purchases I do not buy a lot, and a lot of games are for the children. But of the very few multiplatform I want this year the top one is Portal 2.

Was stoked for Crysis 2 but now feel so what, I can get my FPS thrills from Killzone 3 and sad to say I will be playing Uncharted 2 until 3 comes out.

I have been reading these forums for a while (mainly about Portal and 2) but decided to join after finding my Steam account isn't actually linked to this site (unlike some PS3 sites which use PSN logn details)

I do have to say I am left cold by the generic war shooters - it seems that they are full of young kids who get upset and scream abuse, people who practice 24 hours a day and make it very difficult for new people to join in.

I think the only reason I got good at the ones I am good at are that the obcessives are off playing Call of Duty.

Can I have epic adventures/clever scifi/good games writing please?

Might be because I am not that young and started with a Vic20

they had to make new levels for it, add the phys gun type of thing, not that unreasonable

Exactly man :),we think the same lol. This ^.

It's not fair that the PC version has motion control support for Portal 2 (so far), & that PS Move users who want to buy Portal 2 & play it with PS Move controller might not get it support for it.

How would that cause a two month delay? Especially with the makers of the controller making that content on their own anyway? You realize they have a license to the engine, right?

no i didn't realize that, but i do know that if a different company has to add content to a game and has the wish to release along with the game, they would have a need for the delay.

Valve delays their games. It is one of the main things they are known for. look up "valve time".

I am not saying it is a bad thing. They prefer to get the game done right, as opposed to releasing an unfinished game that meats a deadline. Left for Dead 2 aside. It seems like with l4d2 they made the deadline, and look how that turned out :)

If you buy the game for PS3 you also get it for PC for free. Hopefully it works the other way around too but I don't think so.

That's really cool if true luka.

It would be funny if the PC gets support for the Razer Hydra, but the ps3 doesn't get support for move lol. The two controllers are pretty similar.

Yeah, I know that, must have been a typo here or something...maybe he meant to say PC instead.
