Unless I missed an option in the options (which I kinda doubt), apparently there is no way to use the 360 controller?

Plus, no online play whatsoever? :(

OFF TOPIC: Is there no online play at all? Well, I guess it's time for someone to make a thread titled "DO NOT BUY!" (As is seen with just about every game on steam). The game looses 99% of its purpose if you can't play online with friends. Shame. I wanted to buy it. (I understand it has local play, but come on. I can only huddle my friends around my computer like once a month).

ON TOPIC: In response to your question. I don't know, I was waiting to buy it until I saw whether or not the rumors were true about no online. Looks like I'm not buying this one. It does not state controller support on the steam page, so I think you're SOL on that one. :(

Yeah, I don't see any options for online play at all. The only options available are for volume and screen resolution.

There's quick play and the normal mode. You can choose 1 or 2 players, local of course. 360 controller doesn't work, guess it's not supported. Which is pretty weird. Oh well, still a fun game overall though. Brings back all those YDKJ memories.

It looks fun, but man, that's a real shame that it's so limited. I have a feeling that there will be a good few angry customers that assumed it had basic features like online, 4 player, controller support, etc. before they bought it. It seems like the developers have a real wasted opportunity here.

I wonder if the other consoles got this but PC got stiffed, because it looks like the other versions have more than 2 player

Wii has 4 player local I believe, 360 and PS3 have 4 player online... DS doesn't have jack ♥♥♥♥ (but I expected that). So yes, PC got stiffed, bad.

Hey wait HOLD ON, is there even AI to play against? (please tell me there is, or I will be so tempted to start a damn boycott thread, even though they always seem to fail)

I didn't even get to the gameplay before I got annoyed, but from the looks of it no

How is AI on a trivia game supposed to work?

I think I've seen it before. I don't quite remember how it worked (probably based on difficulty it got a certain % of questions like or something like that), but I was wondering just wondering if they tried to make single-player at least have some kind of purpose, considering that it is now a good 50% of the game. (And the other 50% requires you to huddle with a buddy over your keyboard, which you can maybe do at MAX once a week).

I've only played the original games, but in those games you press your buzzer, then your answer (#1-4). Why would you need a 360 controller for that? I understand that this game may be different, but it still seems like a silly complaint.

Controller support is most useful for multiplayer, 1 player could use they keyboard and one could use a controller. That way both players don't have to huddle over a keyboard. That's why I would want it at least.

Player 1, your buzzer is the letter "Q". That's "Q" as in quack.

Player 2, your buzzer is the letter "B". That's "B" as in basket full of bunny rabbits.

Player 3, your buzzer is the letter "P". That's "P" as in ♥♥♥♥♥.

Oh I miss the good old days. The old school way where you buzz in to answer does not exist for this game, and that you need separate keys for each of the responses for each player, so having 3 players would be crowded, and I don't think 3 player YDKJ will work, but it did work for the older games.

And are you sure it is really 2 players? Because the other 12 YDKJ games released on PC had 3 players.

yup only 2 players. Massive disappointment...had friends over yesterday and couldn't do 4player. So dumb that there is no gamepad support.

Even if there wasn't gamepad support, the other 12 YDKJ games managed to have 3 players, because it went for the buzz in, then answer model, rather than the current model of pressing the correct button before your opponents.

In the old school model, you only needed like 4 keys for the answers and one extra key for the buzzer for each player.

So if it was a 10 player YDKJ game, which is highly unlikely, it takes 14 keys, while in the new model, it takes 40 keys.

I don't know why they didn't do the buzz in model, and opted for the timer model.

Also, back then, harder questions cost more, and easier questions cost less. But here, you take a longer time on harder questions, and a shorter time on easier questions, and thus, you get more cash on easier questions, and less cash on harder questions.

Stupid of them to get rid of buzzing in. It only worked for EVERY DAMN GAME in the past.

I prefer the "all play" everyone answer method, because it rewards you if you know the answer first, but it still gives everyone a shot at an answer. I used to play the old games against my wife and it was brutal; she reads MUCH faster than I do, MUCH faster than anyone else I know, and would buzz in and answer questions before I even got to look at the answers.
