I published the commands on the bash and slash networks site a while ago yet two patches later and they still havent cheat protected them.

should i post them here or would i get a vac ban?

They are not hacks. The option to change settings given to us are not considering hacking.

If these commands were given by unlocking the console using a third-party program, then yes, you may report it to Steam Support or Activision directly.

This is not a hack it is easily done by editing the config file , and a lot of people know about it and use to their advantage ,to put it into perspective in jungle there is no grass and no leaves on trees.
It only takes treyarch to cheat protect the commands in the config.The Esl have been informed of the commands so what about the average player?

and Treyarch have been spammed daily about it since patch 1.05 from someone in the same forums.

This is why they locked MW2 down so tight. Gamers can not be trusted. You try to give them freedom, and it will be abused.

here i am like a a real d-bag, trying to use things i can not see through as visual cover, while some mouth breathing loser who gets beat on daily in the real world comes and alters a few lines in his config file and gets himself a huge tactical advantage.

For ♥♥♥♥ sake. Anyone can do it, who cares. What i dont understand is why they dont cheat protect this but they cheat protect the r_streamFreezeState command that actually gives FPS and does ♥♥♥♥ all else.

I was curious so I actually looked up the codes. From the one site a I found, they posted up before and after pictures.

The first thing that struck me is that anyone who turns on these cvars will definitely look like they're hacking. You're in for getting kicked/banned from a server unless the server you are playing on doesn't have a killcam, nor have any admins playing on it.

Second, the creator of the page noted that there was a significant FPS drop with turning on those cvars. His FPS count was locked in around the ballpark of 125 before enabling them, and then dropped off to about 90 afterwards. Odd finding.

If the hackers were able to make the foliage start killing people and racking up points I'd start to worry about it.

just take a look at zombies mode, the infinite ammo cheat command was posted here a couple of times and now almost every lobby will have the question "AMMO CHEAT???" so no don't post it.

Yeah coz using commands disabled intentionally in previous versions of the COD franchise that remove elements of the map intentionally placed to make it so you can't see people in certain areas totally isn't an advantage.

Wrong. Warnings are given for minor exploits and bans are given for major ones according to treyarch.The wall dvar hack, the radar one and even the fog disable were patched and described as exploits in the patch list.If you reported someone using it from kill cam and they studied thetre file of the player they could be banned.

So a guy camos himself in some bushes or tall grass in his gillie suit and say waht you took that grass of in your texture hack so he is really in open field for you!!!???

You can not cheat to win, you can win by playing in the exact same conditions as the rest of us, I have your name, and also some more under my scope, and when we cross by in the MP if I see you are making fun of the others by doing impossible shoots , I will report any of the ones who use texture hacks or graphic changes.

This also replies to a lot of what is happening on this game, people think they can have any kind of changes to have an advantage over the rest of the players and that is what is wrong, soon you will see that a change like this is as bann as a normal hacking program that gives you X ray vision and allows you to shoot trough walls and see the location of enemy team in a changed color or aiming for you with robotic acuracy.

I agree with your thoughts in general. Though please do not blame the gamers!! This is a problem with the game itself.

If you allow gamers to edit their config files / options for certain details then results like this will happen. The gamers are just optimizing the game to their standards, which anyone is allowed to do at present.

Can you read, that VAC only bans for that. You're an idiot and know nothing about a video game and anti cheat. If you think about and people didn't need to spend $1000 on their PC to run this game actually well, a lot of people wouldn't be using it. Even when you do, obviously people still can't run it well, which means how horrible this game was coded. In the end, you will never get VAC'd for changing anything in your console/config, unless it deals with changing the way .exe operates.

I will test those and if it works i will talk to PCdev.

removing objects from the Maps that are there for a purpose of providing cover camo and also game play is this OK??

The gamer that does this knows that the other players that don't are using this objects for cover and camo themselves so that they can see him and shoot him easy, I think this is to blame isn't it???

OK the game as to many flaws, Ok it is a bad coded game, OK the patchs are doing nothing or almost nothing, but cheating like this makes the guys like us that play normally think twice and even quit playing this.

I bet treyarch added this command for people to get a simple fps boost. btw it would be the dumbest thing for a "Hacker" to remove everything from the map. then its just not rendered but the collision mesh isstill there, then you could see the enemy, but you dont know where to walk.

it is only practical to find a unified standard, which in this case would be the developers. if it is legal, it is not cheating, period.

I do'nt use the "hack" tweak or whatever to ♥♥♥♥ you want to call it because i do'nt get paranoid about secret cheaters having an advantage,tweaking the config should be all about gaining fps when you cant afford the hardware or do'nt want to upgrade for a quake engine based fps.
