i remember playing faces of war. every day i would coem home, do my home work as fast as possible, and start FOW. why all the rush? becasue only 20 epople played that game it seemed like.
i live in montana, in a town of 3000 people. and our pamidia (small town walmart) happened to have ONE copy of the game.
loved that game, and teh 20 russians that played it were soon offline if i waited to long.
then came men fo war, with about 20 to 80 players palying the game at all times. i love it. and i foudn thsi thing called steam where i could have friends that could own the same game and play it with me!!!!!!
its been a while, men of war has its hard cores, and its not so good players...... but they accept MOW as a realistic NOT COH RTS.
however, becsaue of the INSANE popularity of thsi game, the COH noobs are comming!!!!!! liek the red scare in the 60's and 70's WE ARE DEAD.
we few who like realism, who have shot a gun outside of a game....and killed things with that gun (deer, rabbits, anythign that moves thats legal to kill......) who want COH ideas like unit icons above every dudes head, or health bar tanks.
the hero units scared me before teh beta was out, figured it was liek COH now. its not, hey can take some rounds, but a well plaiced series of bullets take him out perty quickly. thsi is a realistic RTS. its a ♥♥♥♥♥ some tiems to play, your confused, geting ♥♥♥♥♥....jsut keep playing....AND USE YOUR MINI MAP.
you cna resize it and move the mini map. look in the control options. its SO MUTCH easyer to sue a mini map then look at small sections of the map. fidning gaps in your line or bad dudes is so mutch easyer.
please, if its in COH, dotn bring it to MOW. mow is a rare jem in a sea of clone RTS's. the last good w2 rts i played was blitzkreg 2. that game was even harder!
