Started playing this again and have really been enjoying it, I look forward to buying LoTS on the 14th.

Questions:
1.So I captured 2 planets adjacent to my home planet, there is a third enemy planet near too. I destroyed the warp gate at that planet and then I got a wave from the AI going to my home planet. They have other places to attack with proper warp gates as well, so I'm not sure how they are warping to attack my planet?

This seems to contradict what is happening:

I have a save game file if someone wants to look at it for me, I could very well be missing something.

2. When you start a game and select planets towards the bottom right of that planet it displays 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x. What do these numbers mean? It may mention it in the tutorial, but it has been a while since I played those and I figured it would be easier to ask here. I tried the wiki and couldn't find anything.

3. On the galaxy view what is the button under notes and above search? I tried looking on the wiki but was having a hard time finding it.

1. Perhaps you're playing against a Warp Jumper AI type.

2. The number tells you how many wormholes are on the planet, ie the number of planets connected to it.

3. I believe you're talking about the flare which lets you mark a planet.

I wasn't aware of that AI type, I didn't explicitly set it that way but I do just leave the AI type to random.

Some more questions (figured I'd re-post so people would notice)

So I am having some trouble taking this AI Eye out, I've dealt with them before fine but I'm not sure if this one is bugged or if I am just missing something? I took out all the gaurd posts and it does not disappear.

Here is a screenshot, I moused over everyone of the icons on the right-hand side bar and nothing is a gaurd post, I have scouts on the base and couldn't find any sort of cloaked gaurd post.

I'm assuming I am missing something?

Also is there a better counter sniper ship than the scout starship?

1) The AI may, even if it isnt of a particular type, still use units that have the ability to cause waves. Mouse over the guardians on a planet and see if they have the atribute "Warp Gate Full".


1) There seems to be a stealth guard post, or I assume there is. Mouse over the Eye and see if it says "x guardposts keeping this eye alive". If it says "1" there sure is a stealth post. See if you can find any units sitting in the middle of nowhere, some say you can spot empty harvesters(doesnt seem to work for me), and if all else fails you can set scouts to patrol the planet, they unhide most things 'really' close to them.

2) Yes, bomber starships. You nuke whatever can snipe you using bomber starships in raids, before you send in the fleet. Keep the bomber starships with the fleet incase nasty stuff respawns (they are faster than fleetship, keep them in transports for an even higher speed).

1. Thanks, apparently they have a special forces alarm post with "warp gate (full)", so I will have to kill that.

1.I found the Stealth post, it was on a metal location. I just told my scout starships to go to random locations that looked like possible places, is there any way to actually set them to patrol though?

2. I tried using the bomber starships but they refused to attack the sentinel frigates for whatever reason. Is there an option that is making them only attack things with above x health, or is that just how they are designed? If they can't attack sentinel frigates, do you have any suggestion for dealing with them?

Yeah, bomber starship cant hit "smaller craft" and sentinal frigates are clasified as such.
I cant recall what armour type they have but a cap of equal mark bombers/fighter delivered by transports is usually the right answer when some other goodies cant hit the target. Check the ingame reference-tab to see what would be the most usefull ship, you can build, to kill them.

I figured I'd post some questions here rather than creating a new thread:

Is there an easy way to see which reactors you have on a planet? I know in the bottom left there is a list of reactors, which is useful for putting reactors into low power mode. However it isn't very useful when trying to find someplace where you can place a new reactor. I tried using the 'find' feature on the galaxy map and couldn't find anything to do with reactors.

Similarly I remember finding a way to list engineers that, the list would say something along the lines of "7 engineers are present on Vanwilder", am I misremember or is there some place to see this [outside of the galaxy map]?

I've tried to edit the planet specific details of allies planets to auto-build remains rebuilders but it does not work. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Is there an easier way to find certain ships in the "types by player" menu? Right now I have to scroll everything if I am curious how many kills I have with a ship.

Any tips for defender mode? Everytime I have tried it I have died terribly because they have an overwhelming number of ships compared to me. I even pause it at the beginning so that I queue up various things.
