[Petition] Unlock the hidden weapons in l4d2

Just recently i discovered that there is 4 locked/hidden weapons in l4d2 and i wonder why those weapons have been cut from the game?

Well anyway the other day while playing versus no mercy i discovered those weapons and i think the game will benefit from those weapons if unlocked in all campaigns.

There is one more assault rifle locked with a scope and i think there is either 2 or 3 locked sniper rifles and one of them is a manual sniper rifle.

I'm Australian and we got no compensation for having our version censored. Plus lets not forget about the Baseball Bat preorder bonus. Those who preordered got baseball bats at the beginning of the campaign but they were eventually made available to everyone.

It's been more than a year since release, it's about time Valve made them available to everyone.

Cause only Germans felt like giving something to the Germans for censoring the game. The weapons suck anyway, why would you even want them? (i am aussie with a censored copy and play a custom server that has the weapons, they aren't needed and suck anyway)

I'm totally OK with those weapons being locked, because they're terrible. If I join a server and there are people rat-a-tat-tatting away with those piles of junk, I know the admin is an idiot and I don't wait around to see what other abortions they've modded in to their server.

Have you ever played with css guns in l4d 2 ? I'm not saying pontually but almost everygame ?

Lack of animations, slow reload.. The only one actually worth it is the MP5, anything more than that is just a burden imho.

I play every l4d2 match with css weapons. the knife seems to be a better melee weapon than every other melee weapon, mp5 destroys the uzi and the krieg is good enough to fit between m16 and ak. I know the animation issues, but I don't care, as long as I can kill stuff with it I don't see why I should remove those weapons from my server.

Nobody said you should remove them, I just don't think they should be unlocked or forced to other players on public matches, simply because of their limitations. ;)

Now, regarding the mp5 destroying the uzi, I must assume you have data to backup this.

The mp5 may do more damage (Overall) but it does less damage per second than the Uzi and it reloads more slowly.

This for the normal UZI, while you can't really compare the MP5 do the SMG.

This is exactly what I wanted to say. MP5 is the only decent one, everything else is crap, especially Krieg. Unfortunately, I saw MP5 only once and Krieg is somewhat common.

..or Valve polish 'em up and give some nice stats.

But it wont ever happen anyway because that would maybe require more than 10 minutes of actual work.

OT: The idea just doesn't seem that great in all honesty. The new weapons don't seem to fit any real niche apart from the bolt-action sniper (which they made two of, ruining their credibility) and the scoped assault rifle (which doesn't sound like a good idea anyway).
