more Source cfg problems

I've been trying to get my fps cfg to work for the past two weeks.. the cfg is "autoexec.cfg" I've tried EVERYTHING to get it to work and it just doesn't. I tried putting a exec autoexec.cfg line in my config but it doesn't work. Every time i start Source i usually get a bunch of lines in console saying

"Can't use cheat cvar c_orthoheight in multiplayer, unless the server has sv_cheats set to 1." There's about 15-20 lines of this, just by me starting the game.. and then at the end of the console it tells me.


exec: couldn't exec userconfig.cfg
Host_WriteConfiguration: Wrote cfg/config.cfg
exec: couldn't exec userconfig.cfg
Host_WriteConfiguration: Wrote cfg/config.cfg


i just want better FPS :mad::eek:

any ideas?

Don't worry of these 15-20 lines, it's normal.

And if you have

exec: couldn't exec userconfig.cfg
Host_WriteConfiguration: Wrote cfg/config.cfg
exec: couldn't exec userconfig.cfg
Host_WriteConfiguration: Wrote cfg/config.cfg

It's because you don't have a "userconfig.cfg" in your cfg folder.

And the "autoexec.cfg" is automatically executed when you start the game...

Copy/paste your autoexec.cfg here.
