error with steam and STO

came to play it tonight and carry of from where i left off as i buy the sub i msut play see what like

today i was game minmized totaly says sumthing about

cryptic corrupt pig file and the game shut off
it kept doing it more since then

so it has force me to re-downlaod this i dunno why
then steam gives me the non updated version of the game
so now i must await again 3rd time in 3 weeks same error
5gb patch to downlaod that is capped to uber low speed

now 4th time within 1 month for it to heppen

Disable automatic updates from Steam and let the game update through the launcher. It shouldn't happen again.
