Whats up with the price?

Im UK.. and will be pre ordering this game for a sum of £29.99, my friend and I were disscussing and It turns out he must pay 49.99 euros! He lives in Northern Italy if that changes anything, so I did a conversion, and 29.99 GBP = 35.4214 EUR
So he is being ripped off 15 euros. :/

Yes,this happens with most games if you pay in euros,even games from german publishers are more expensive in germany than in UK,i don't know why,maybe it has to do with taxes?

Buy it off www.amazon.co.uk (£29, free shipping and no toll fee if you are in the EU). I live in Denmark and buys 99% of my games there. Its way cheaper and it will be attached permanently to your steam account because all editions (retail and online) have to be activated through steam.

They raise the price to be close to retail for us (which I don't have a problem with directly, they need to keep retailers happy so they get store space and advertising to get it in people's faces), and since they haven't lowered retail prices even though our dollar has risen 40 US cents....

Im not ordering mine on steam...you get nothing but the standard game. I can get the limited edition for a few £ less....And anyone else able to shop for it cheaper elsewhere, do so.
