What is with these hearts?????

So I'm trying to post a thread. It's a longish thread with a fair amount of formatting, so I preview it beforehand.

And, for some weird reason, there are Pink hearts everywhere.

They're not the swear filter hearts - they're all solitary, and they're just randomly inserted into the text, mostly at the end of a line. I try taking them out, then previewing it again, and they come back.

This was not the swear filter. I was not swearing, and the hearts did not replace anything.

Why is this happening???

No. It's not!
I tried selling double glazing there during my student days and the old adage 'Who put the ♥♥♥♥ in S♥♥♥♥horpe?' proved to be a bit like asking 'Who put the sand in the Sahara?'
It didn't answer either of these thought provoking questions but did clarify the ambiguity in such a question.
Now the adage merely results in further questioning. i.e. 'Which one?'

The censors on this site are a bit bizarre, however. The watchlist contains some words that can come up in conversation with no evil intent behind them. Let's say the news of the day revolved around a landmark court decision which would allow men convicted of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ little boys to gain parole in half the time just by filling out a form, with no hearing. You couldn't discuss the crime of ♥♥♥♥, or the horror of being ♥♥♥♥♥, or the headlines of "♥♥♥♥♥♥ Freed 22 Years Early By New Law." You would have to say that the darned homosexual pedophiliac sexual assaulter got off easy.

I've already seen at least one thread topic that read like a string of BBcode

because the OP dropped the F-bomb in it like six times, and it got censored, and BBcode doesn't work in titles. If it wasn't for the necessity of the hearts being pink, it would simply have read

"♥♥♥♥in' stupid ♥♥♥♥in' game ♥♥♥♥s me up the ♥♥♥ every ♥♥♥♥in' time"

(or hearts to that effect), and been a lot less confusing.

Those long strings are pretty annoying.

I don't get why 4 hearts are written as: ♥♥♥♥.

They should be: ♥♥♥♥, much shorter. Someone wasn't thinking when they wrote these word filters.
