I "lost" my old e-mail with verizon when my computer died and I temporarily dropped my Internet. I got a new e-mail address and for the most part, the transition has been smooth, but upon trying to get DLC I had purchased a year ago, I found I lost everything tied to my old e-mail.

Considering I was thinking of buying Dragon Age Ultimate Edition, I am going to reconsider as I'm not going to tie $50 games to an e-mail that could be changed in the future.

Go to their web chat and explain with proof of purchase.
They changed it for me.

They wouldn't do anything for me.

That can't be right, I'm sure they have some official means to deal with that:

Ok, thanks, I don't know why an EA rep told me differently?

Ok, thanks, I don't know why an EA rep told me differently?

Because he works for EA!

I bought the Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box at its rather cool £0.00 price on Christmas Eve and it's a cool game for the price for sure.
Trouble is, I couldn't get any 'Burnout news' or purchase new car packs.
I contacted EA and they said I needed to install a patch.
Told them I already had and it was actually up to date anyway.
Dude said, too advanced and escalated to higher level support.
A week later, higher level dude said I can't buy them coz I already have them! (wtf?!?)
I explained how I didn't have them else I wouldn't be emailing asking how to get them.
2 weeks later an even higher level dude wrote and told me Criterion Games had shut down the PC Store servers.
Well that needed the boss of EA support to work that one out didn't it?!?

That's one of my most successful interactions with EA support.

Edit: Unless of course I contact them about an xbox game

Just a humble suggestion, never use your ISP email for this exact reason, instead use a dedicated gmail account. IMHO, ISP email is never to be used, period.

If you can, see if Verizon offers a temporary forwarding service, they may be able to forward it to your new email, then you can change the email to a new one.

I second this.
Hadn't even thought but I don't even know my ISP provided email address!
I know I have one but never even considered using it.

:/ I always use my ISP`s mail address and never had a problem with it...

However, I have been pretty much a long time member (10 years now I think). And never had a problem or a change in adresses. I guess it just really depends on the provider...
