I have thought about this for a long time, and I think this would be really interesting. It would be cool to incorporate snow and ice into a stage or two, almost like the hard rain campaign in the last game. It could be a blizzard or something, but I think adding an element like snow and ice that could effect the speed and movement of the survivors, impair their vision, even hurt them if they stay out in the weather long enough would be an intriguing development.
And as a set piece to this, I have one area semi-comparable to the witch filled sugar mill. Incorporate a new infected that can just hide in the snow in the survivors path, and just sit and wait to pull one of them into a drift and doesn't have to go searching for them. I think another dynamic to this would be forcing the survivors to walk over a frozen lake or river while being attacked by common infected, with ice being able to crack and fall apart and separate the survivors. Add to this an Infected that could freely swim under the ice and break through and grab or attack a survivor, and I think you have the making of an incredibly tense and eerie scene.
I love the games, I would just like to see an environment beyond cities and more populated areas. I still think the funnest and hardest campaign was Blood Harvest.
