Because they are putting all their effort into the game and making a demo would take effort away from the full game.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Grandpa speaks to grandson. "In the old days sonny they'd just pull a couple of levels straight from the retail game and make a demo of it fast and quick and true to the real game. No need to make nothing from scratch to try and sell and game. The actual game sold itself. The game was good or bad and the demo would tell you that right away because it was the same game you were wanting to buy. You can't thrust none of these fake demos that come out now to tell the truth. Oh some do but a lot don't. They be limited so you can't even check to see if it will run like you want. Manufactured they are<(wink) and not even from the real game most the time.":(

hahahaha , you can always count on MAD-D to keep it real.

Ofc demo's as in...DEMOS and not BETA's (you hear that l4d3?) are a bunch of horse dung.

It's always been like this, but some people are too blind to even read between the lines ya know?

Hell, I remember way back when DNF was re-announced in 2001 and people were all like "YAW MAN CHECK THIS OUT IT'S OFF THE CHAIN", only to hear from one ex 3DRealms employee that the whole gig was set up SPECIFICALLY to get people pre-ordering and rolling on the hype train.

But anyways, I guess MAD-D kinda defeated the entire thread here and now I'm sad :(

LE:

Props to ma man , l4d3, for keeping us aware of the corporate ways of the gaming industry and providing us insight on the very evil intent that developers secretly hold to bear against us consumers out there. Seriously. 100% no added sarcasm.

I think I'm becoming addicted to youtube...

Not a demo, but at least it's something. Here are some new gameplay clips that were posted yesterday. Looks like console gameplay though and not PC. These may have been posted earlier elsewhere, but as far as I know these are only a day old. And all the "COD-clone!!" hater comments made me lol.

TBH, watching these actually lowered my hopes a bit rather than raised them. But I'm more interested in multiplayer anyway, so not that big of a deal. I mean, Homefront SP campaign still looks much better than the Bad Company 2 SP campaign, and BC2 is currently my favorite game. So hopefully Homefront MP will be just as good as BC2 MP.

Hahahaha, funny story, I was watching these like a half hour ago.

Seriously, the console footage is just horribad. I mean lol, playing it on Easy Mode and making the game look so lame at the same time. Oh wait, the campaign DOES LOOK LAME LAWL. THQ WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?

The console crowd kids must be going ape♥♥♥♥ for this one. MOAR CoDs :))

But, the decisions aren't based on these mongrel vids. No.

Me, personally, I'll have to play this game on full Hard mode then play the hell out of MP to get a good view of what's what.

All in all....I am definetly not taken back with the SP. Dunno bout you guys.

p.s The conspiracy theory and the "true" historians and speculation freaks should start rolling about in a few hours....this is going to be hella fun.

Good thread really fear us Homefronty:p, people myself included still want a SP and some a MP demo before paying our hard earned money. The first part of my post is the drivel about time and resources we most often hear from developers but as I said it's just drivel. It's quick and easy to make a demo from a completed game. Remember they are trying to sell us a product. It's their job to convince me I will simply die if I don't buy and play this game.;)

Well at this point, they seem hell bent on doing the exact opposite.

But as I said before, the whole SP just stank of doodie from the moment I read the summary. I'm not saying people might not be surprised, because the above videos are a tiny fraction of the release version. No more comments there until I see the final deal. However and I'll be redundant here (like our buddy, l4d3) and say that Homefront wasn't designed for SP imho. MP is the selling point here.

If you live in bay Area, the Pyongyang express is carrying a demo of their game alongside $1 Kimchi quesadillas.

If you don't well there is a 360 version supposedly coming out sometime before release. When specifically is still up in the air.

I can't believe this was made by someone already.

Hitler cancels his Homefront pre-order. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNQqsbOVGoM)

Some parts in the beginning of the video were hilarious! But it started to drag on near the middle where the video author simply seemed to run out of new things to say.

I'm still crossing my fingers for this game, but I'm not ready to pre-order and still want to wait for some reviews. As long as this game doesn't turn out to be a total trainwreck like, say, Raven Squad or Daikatana, I most likely will pick it up because I like this style of MP gameplay and I'm actually curious to see how the SP storyline plays out.

Though, the lack of any trace of in-game PC footage whatsoever is either a really good sign or a very bad sign. Not in-between. They are either very confident with the PC version and want to wait until it's closer to release date to stoke the fire and build hype some more, or the PC version is in serious trouble.
