Anyone else get two copies? I installed my copy and I checked back a day or two later and my gifts and guest passes window was open saying I had another copy of Metro 2033. Sweet.

I wouldn't get too excited and gift that second copy just yet. You might end up with your account and the persons account you gifted disabled. Contact support to be on the safe side.

Gifted it like 2 days ago. They can't ban me for their mistake. ;)

It may be because I preordered before the Metro 2033 deal even started?

Banning no, thats done for cheating in MP games. Now disabling accounts for fraud til the second copy is paid for maaaaaaybe!;):eek:Muahahahahaha

Don't worry too much about it. It's their mistake. Not yours.

In the worst case scenario, they will just remove the game from the library of whoever you gifted it to. It's happened a few times before.

its not an extra copy, got for pre ordering homefront but i already have metro for xbox, so i dont need it. can it still be gifted?

Im sure it can, but did you validate your game already, is it active in your account? If so, then its not gitable.

If not, I would love to have it :)

If you do not own this game on Steam prior to this pre-order offer, then you can't gift it. Unless you are one of the lucky ones like OP who mistakenly received 2 copies.

You don't see it in "Manage Gifts and Guest Passes" right?

If you don't then you can't gift it. That game is already yours....

If you had pre-ordered from D2D, you can just give the CD key away.

No. Most only got one as stated on the store page, you only get ONE.

But in any case, I'm hoping someone have an extra copy they don't need and can send it to me.
