So I finished it and can't understand the ending ..

In the case of supposedly "evil" ending when you take control of the hunger (hello? wasn't that a main goal all along?) it says you kill all the mulsantir dwellers and then all the gith and stuff like that.

to me that makes no sense. I mean the game gives the freedom of choice during the game but then its like the character becomes crazy or something, not able to control its actions anymore, with no explanation at all.

I mean, I played the character that wholly supported the idea behind the original Crusade, to destroy the Wall of Faithless (as I understand, it's not only for the people who don't believe in EXISTENCE of gods, but also for those who don't want to kiss their asses, which is worth fighting against).

So the most logical way to achieve the goal of the crusade is to become as powerful as gods themselves and destroy the wall. Perhaps this involves self destruction somehow (since hunger is of the Wall), but this would be necessary sacrifice, just like in the case of for some insane reason becoming the guard of Kelemvor (well perhaps it's justifiable for characters that have him as the deity selected).

However this option is only considered evil for no reason...

So are there any endings I haven't found perhaps? I was originally evil but then become neutral, maybe it's not an option for non good chars or something ..

Or am I missing something in the story? Maybe the character lost his mind somewhere but I missed it in some text.

So... killing a whole whack load of innocent people isn't evil?

yes it is evil, but why did character did this was not explained. If the reason behind choosing the option was continuing the crusade - i.e. tearing down the wall - the character would not do the things attributed to him by kelemvor.

Also, if the character is GOOD, why would he kill all the people? did he change his alignment all of the sudden? if so, it's untold and unexplained either.

There is another possibility though - kelemvor is highly biased party, so he could simply lie all the time and in the end as well.

Or, maybe the future is unknown at all and all those continuations told by Kelemvor are nothing but his fantasy in each case. so they're what he THINKS would happen, but what ACTUALLY will happen is unknown because it did not happen yet :)
