Head Start (Early Access) Files Available Now!

The client updater is allowing logins to start downloading the pre-start files. Get 'em.

No, seriously, what the Hell are you talking about? What client updater? Could someone please explain? ^_^

Be a little less of a ♥♥♥♥ mmkay?

1. Where to get these files. From steam. You hit the play button, and then it forces you to update the game... let me know if you find this too complicated.
2. Download speed slow? You don't even know what I'm referring to, so how do you even know what the speed is? The client updater isn't slow at all.
3. Allow me to hold your hand through the whole process incase reading is too hard for you (which apparently it is.) For those of us that got the pre-order. (either Collector's Edition or not...) you got "Early access" to the game on the 24th. Now, the plain program from Steam (which normally gave an error message if you tried to login) will now update and download the program for the early access.

Maybe you could've opened the program at least once to try it yourself before posting? "^_^" to you too.

I thought that's what you meant. Ok Thanks! Yeah, I've just started downloading it but it's taking a while (with my area being crap for connection).

Yeah, the files are working. But it's only the 150mb. Hopefully we'll get the game a tad earlier tomorrow ^_^

After the 150 MB patch loads, the Rift login screen appears, and you can now start downloading the full 8.32 GB client. Remember to get rid of any Beta files you might still have on your hard disk before you start.

This is great to know...however, I am getting a message that "no server is presently configured to deliver this file"....

Do I have to configure my firewall or something? If other people are getting the files ...is it my computer?

oh yes..... I actually purchased the collector's edition from Steam... and really tried clicking the play button more than once. :)

Have a look on the forums about something called "you are unauthorized to play this game" or something. It should help.
