some guy on steam said that he would vac ban me (i know, i laughed). i just wanted to know is that really possible for him to do? i dont think anyone has a program to just vac ban users. also he said he sent me a virus..his steam name is Laptop65

Nope not possible.
The only way is if he tricks you into you given you're name and password for steam then he uses a cheat.

No he can not VAC ban you as it is a fully automated system run by Valve.

Not unless you click on a link he sends you and you download stuff from it.

No way at all any player on a server can initiate a VAC ban on anyother player. That's just not possible, at all, ever.

As for the virus, they 'could' find an open port on your computers' IP, and slip something in the guise of a legitimate packet, dependiong on what protocols use that particular port, and, whatever your computer security is like and services you allow.

That's all extremely unlikely though. If youre comuter is unsecure enough for that to happen, you've more chance of it already being riddled with malware by now ;)
