Yes, Steam has the game listed under the price of 29.99 and it really is 9.99 everywhere else. Buying the retail box won't allow you to play it on Steam because the retail version of Age of Conan does not have Steamworks which is needed to do so but nonetheless you will be able to play the game without having to insert the disc into your drive. In order to play you are required to pay a monthly fee of 12.99, this basically means that when you pay you are able to play the game for one month and then you will be charged again in order to continue playing. Regarding the mouse, you can probably remap the buttons as you prefer and to suit your needs and style of play.
If you decide to buy Age of Conan on Steam make sure you buy the one titled: Age of Conan: Rise of the Godslayer because it includes the expansion pack together with the original game.
Age of Conan is a MMORPG set in Hyboria, the world created by Robert E. Howard. It is a low-fantasy setting. If you like Conan and his adventures you will most likely like the game too.
If not, there are other MMO's out there. Consult www.mmorpg.com for a thorough list of most MMO's that are available.
I hope you find this comment helpful.

Cheers, mate.

TZAYA many thanks! What version did you buy, steam or retail? I purchased
fallout vegas, and it came with steam, I thought one was able too add games on there steam library? my download speed is 1.5 mbps it would take awhile.
as long as i can change mouse settings that would be great.[what is steamworks? is that for online gaming, something different then steam]?
thanks again.

Fallout New Vegas requires Steam to run. Unlike Age of Conan, which you can buy as either a retail version without steamworks or via steam with added support. You can add games without steam-support to your games library, but they won't share the functionality of other, steam-supported titles (e.g. you can start the game via steam, but that's the extent of it).

Age of Conan is pretty big (21+ gb). So if you buy it, don't plan on playing it until the next day. I'm unsure about the extent to which you can change your mouse settings. If you want to try it out first, go here (http://community.ageofconan.com/wsp/conan/frontend.cgi?func=frontend.show&template=main) and check out the trial (upper left corner: "click here to try or buy conan"). You still have to download the whole client for the trial though.

Steamworks is a type of DRM (copy protection) which is used by many games nowadays. Games with Steamworks require a Steam account to be played. You said New Vegas came with Steam, well, that's Steamworks. :) I myself bought the Age of Conan version directly from the FunCom website as it was cheaper. You're welcome, mate.
