Maybe I am blind and dont see it on screen or so, but only way I have seen to rotate the camera was using the keyboard. Which is meh. I kinda enjoy sitting in my chair just with the mouse to play lol. Was there a way to rotate the camera without the keyboard?

Well yes and no,
Yes, I can rotate the mouse with my mouse because I have a tilt wheel mouse (Logitech G500) and have bound left/right mouse wheel tilt, to left/right rotate, works great.
No, there's currently no way to do this unless you do it the way I did or with mouse that has 2 extra button you can bind.
I know exactly what you are saying and many strategy/city builder type games use this feature, but sadly CiM doesn't have it for mouse.
Never say never though, because over at the paradox forum, if you register, then register your game cd-key on your forum account you then have access to an exclusive Mod section with user made modifications, there are many mods already and growing by the day!
One is a camera mod that is AWESOME! One is vehicle realism, one is autosave/quicksave, and many more.

It's very irritating to me. My logitech Performance mouse has the left/right mouse wheel buttons, but I can't get them to setup in the settings of the game.
The use of the cursor keys is really bad idea on the devs part to be honest, as it's on the same side of the keyboard as my mouse hand, making it not conventient to use.
I've had to set up space bar as the rotate key, which means I've got to make 3 lefts to make a right (in traffic terms) so not very convenient either.
They really need to rethink the whole GUI, having to dig into menus to get what I want is not of convenience either.
