Though it is already a great game, with lots of fun, and lots of nice weapons, there are more things that i would like to see some day in L4D2 e.g

New Weapons: Sledgehammer (obviously) tire iron, revolver, a cakeroll, why not?, more lvl 1 weapons or (starting weapons) like the smg, or pump shotgun. Something eccentric like a Skorpion Smg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Škorpion_vz._61 or a "sawn off shotgun."

New thrown weapons: to honor the memory of Bill, how 'bout a good ol' fashioned hand grenade? Then maybe the survivor should be able to carry more than one since it won't lure the infected to it, and perhaps there should be an inverted boomer bile, as in it would scare the infected away, or make them "blind" against you, that should possibly count for special infected too, as in removing the glow around survivors.

Possible customization? I am not sure how this could work but i think that a bit of customization options would be very nice to have in L4D2.

Hand grenade idea is horrible. Valve already tried that before in L4D1 and it was very useless since no one could exactly time when they should toss a grenade when a horde arrives. And the last thing the survivors needs is to make common infected avoid them. Expert would be piss easy if you can keep em away, which is what Bile Bomb does for the most part anyway.

Actually we already have a hand grenade.
Its called a Pipe Bomb.
They say that the grenade proved useless,so they gave the pipe bomb horde attracting ability.

I understand those against a hand grenade, but I could still see a sticky bomb. Throw it, stick it to the tank, hope he doesn't charge towards you, so that you go up with the sticky bomb as well as the tank.

I could also totally see a sledgehammer.

Customization.... I'm not sure. Note: the following statement is probably more in line for a conversation about L4D3 than Cold Stream, but it started here, so here's where I'll have it. There are certain things I've thought could be interesting, in terms of making the individual characters pre-disposed to certain weapons or loadouts, i.e. Coach got melee bonuses because he's bigger, Ellis got rifle bonuses because he'd been hunting, Nick got bonuses with the handguns because... he's Nick, etc. But I don't know if that's what you'd call actual customization.

Interestingly enough, I've never played a round of Team Fortress 2 in my life. Just good taste, I guess.

Also, what about mines? Proximity mines - and, yes, I've played my share of Goldeneye in the past, and your share, and his share, and her share - or even claymores, remote-detonated claymores. You place the mine, then the grenade tab brings up a remote trigger. Tank passes by the claymore; tank gets turned into red mist. (Ok, not really, but Tank gets hurt... pretty bad)

Sticky bombs and proxy mines would be quite disastrous. Imagine you throw a sticky bomb and you hit a survivor instead. OOPS! Not to mention it's not even that hard to hit a Tank with anything, and the sticky bomb would make fighting it a lot easier and induce rage for Tank players in VS.

Proxy mines....well you already got something similar; the propane tanks and other explosive non usable items. It's up to you to trigger it. Also, a proxy mine would be useless for everything except finales since you're always moving foward.

As for sticky bombs - don't the two kind of cancel each other out? Yes, it does a lot of damage to a tank, but if that tank's anywhere near a survivor when it goes off - say, I dunno, pounding one into the ground - that's pretty much one survivor out for the count. I.E., a good survivor player will know to be damn careful with it, and a good versus player will know that, if it's stickied, get as close to as many survivors as possible.

Prox mines - yup, they'd be useless pretty much everywhere but finales and crescendo events or hold points - I would make the argument that the same is basically true for boomer bile. And I still think a claymore/remote detonated mine would be interesting, again, just for finales/crescendos/hold points.

But then won't that make the sticky bomb too much of a double edged sword? Either players use it and run like hell or the Tank lets itself have the bomb stick and either chases the survivors down to let it blow up on them or instant kill any downed survivors with the said bomb. People already run and gun the Tank by default and the Tank can already instant cap survivors with large objects. The Tank doesn't need extra help outside of special infected and the surviors don't need more stuff to kill the Tank faster with.

Boomer Bile isn't useless in everything but finales. See a ton of zombies but don't really want to waste bullets? Throw the bomb, let them cluster and have someone set em on fire.
