It pulled a "The Ship". More people need to play this game or at least put bots on the servers.

If you join a server and run around for a few minutes, you'll get some people to join.
I've been able to replicate this for a few days now.
You just have to be patient.

Sometimes I do this, gather up all the 5 star weapons and by the time I'm finished at least 3 people have joined :D

They abandoned this game before it even came out. No SDK, updates, nothing!
Let it RIP.

By 'they', I hope you mean Ubisoft, rather than Outerlight >: (

Well, to be realistic, last I checked, Outerlight went bust about a month before Bloody Good Time was released on Steam. Could be wrong there.. also, Outerlight were behind The Ship.
...
...Yup, dissolved Oct 2010, and I remember the game being released on Steam Nov 2010, 'cos I reviewed it.

Actually, whenever I start playing the game, people seem to turn up. It's like they're monitoring it or something. So hang in there. It's like they say, "If we have it, they will come."

Pity I bought this game. That's why never buy niche obscure MP-only game with lack of post-launch support.

The game itself is VERY good.
It is in the state it is now, because UbiSoft f'ed it up and killed Outerlight.

Well ubisoft scooped up BGT for their AssBro multiplayer.
So they didn't really f up, they probly never cared.

The servers usually fill up if you wait a while. I went to play with 2 friends today, and in no time, the server was already full.

Hello guys, I see gameplays of this game and it seems really funny.
But reading that I don't know what to do... it's dead?

Thank you, are you talking about USA servers or Europe servers?
Anyway I will buy it, maybe I can convince some friend to come with me :D

Myself and a few friends have been getting into this the past few days. Even in the dead of night, 4am on the East Coast, 2 or 3 of us will hop on and we'll get a server half full. During the day it's probably even easier. The game is a lot of fun, for $5 it's worth it even if you only play a few times.
Also the head of Outerlight still gets his share of sales, so the money isn't going just to Ubisoft (Who should be god damned ashamed of how they handled Outerlight).

Bought the game when it was released to support Overlight, but never played, because living in South Africa, the latecy to most servers (if any appear on the server list) is far too high. Played an bit with the bots though :(

PutSpyk, that's horrible.
I bought the game the last night and I played with high ping (135 more or less) because the server was from USA and I am from Europe, but I can say that the game is brilliant, and I don't feel any lag (maybe the other players yes).
Maybe you guys remenber me, I played as Captain Pronin :D

I know, this game is fantastic, just make sure you log in from time to time.
When people see no one on the server they don't join and just quit, this exacerbates the problem, the only way to ensure people are on there is to log into a server and stay there, regardless if there are people playing or not.

In the mythical fairytale world of this thread, Ubisoft suddenly seized the Outerlight headquarters and liquidated them.
They weren't, uh, purchased or anything LOL.

I wished I could check for servers with Steam without having to start the game. It works for The Ship and other Source Engine games (and many other games) but not BGT. Anybody know a website where I can see BGT servers?
