Get the bus lines going and then go broke.. help

Ok I admit I am a dumbass but what am I doing wrong? I take out a loan for the subway and it just plunges me further into debt. My bus lines wrap around the majority of the city (tutorial) but they get bogged up by the end.

I usually stick the subway in the town square to the train station.

What am I missing here?

The way i start any map is contructing a subway from an airport or college and run it past a railway station, department stores maybe some housing. Usually this means from one end of town to the other going through the middle.

If you have any left over Cash add some bus or tram routes around the stations going around the immediate area to gather passangers should make 2-3k a month, enough to pay for a 40k loan with left over profits.
