flying fortresses! again i'm dying A LOT!

I'm making pure melee on normal difficulty and this is my second playthrough. When i first played this game i stopped coz this game got so unbelievable hard when i have to go to those flying fortresses to finish side quest's.

Now i thought i have become invincible with my char which has: 750hp,2% hp regen, about 40% on all three defences, 20%evasion, 30 lvl.

I just finished stones flying fortres where i went at first and i almost lost my mind. I had to use bucket loads of potions, had to run 50% of time, i died 7 times or more.

Again i'm starting to loose my interest because of this. Is this game way too easy on easy difficulty? I just can't even imagine how someone can survive even one second at those fortresses at nightmare or hard when playing melee...

Around the same level using a Paladin.

Funny enough I rarely use potions unless I get in a big bit of strife though I do use Summon Ghost. At level 5 and above the Ghost completely heals you every minute or so whilst attacking the enemy. Combined with your creature, this is an unstoppable combination.

A strength potion and dexterity potion can also help.

My usual strategy involves summon ghost, summon creature, Rush attack into a crowd, whirlwind then jump attack. Jump attack at level 10 only requires 2 hits to dispatch most level 29 enemies.

lol same went for me, teh game on hard is so damn easy, but then once u get to these fortresses it becomes alil more of a challenge then what i was expecting.....rather hard on hard :\ but as i said hard is easy mode pretty much 80% of the game, i went a ranger FYI

Going on foot through the flying fortresses is generally optional. You can transform into a dragon and fly to where you want to get to go.

they take ages and tehres alot of em, imo they made each 1 alil 2 big, u can spend up to 3-4 hours per flying fort :\

I guess this game just punishes you for bad build. I think ranger/warrior hybrid would be good but i can imagine mage/ summoner hybrid would own everything.

yes ima ranger /summoner, killing things is alil slow but they cant ever get close 2 me XD
