If you took the time to read the developers notes, they stated that there will be no initial support for Eyefinity  but that it may be added if there's enough demand. So, I declare that I'm demanding Eyefinity support and I hope that anyone else hoping for Eyefinity support will add a post and share your thoughts. I doubt it would require much effort on the developers end to make it work. So why not add it? It may increase your sales.
I, for one, as an Eyefinity user. Base some of my purchases on whether a game supports Eyefinity or not. I'll be happy even if it's soley for single player campaign. Of course, we could probably expect a hack somewhere down the road. But games optimized for Eyefinity are always much easier to play.

I've no need for it but I'll demand it also on your behalf.

Couldn't care less about it, and I'm not as nice aforumtotalkon1, so I'll nullify his vote with my 1 against.

Rather them spend time improving the game itself than catering to non-standard hardware setups.

*Taps 2 mana*

I hereby intercept TopGunSF's attempt to nullify aforumtotalkon1's vote.

I have no need for eyefinity either. Maybe when monitors get so cheap (as in $50 each) that having 3 monitors per PC is more commonplace. Similar to how having a discrete graphics card is commonplace now, even though integrated graphics is almost always available.

I have no need for it either, and even had to google it to figure out what it was... seems like Nvidia is going 3D and AMD is going multi-display?

Time will tell what one is going to win out but IMO the 3D fad out now will drain away much like the last 3D fad that was out around Jaws time simply because 3D causes nausea after a while and headaches.

Eyefinity on the other hand is just an extension of normal viewing techonology that has been out for a while. The trend has been surround everything for better immersion in both movies and games. Eyefinity is IMAX for video games.

I have been on the fence for getting a this game but I may get it if eyefinity were supported.

I disagree with the fact that people who can afford to blow £1000 on a PC/Monitors should have an advantage by having a much, much larger field of view.

No, I will vote against it.

It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they don't support it. All they have to do is enable the resolution in the engine. I couldn't imagine it being too difficult. Anyone voting against this is also ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It's not an unfair advantage. Anyone can buy a bigger screen. That doesn't translate to skill. It's the same ♥♥♥♥ as using a 19" vs buying a 30" screen. Who cares what you use? It's available.

I'll vote for eyefinity/surround, playing on 1 monitor now feels like I'm peeking through a small window with one eye shut rather than a full field of view.

All this just means I'll pickup this game maybe in 1 year's time when it goes into the bargin bin and maybe get eyefinity support rather than picking up at launch without it, simple.

Y.

Just a warning to those thinking about trying 3+ monitor gaming. Going back to 1 monitor, even if it's 50" 1080p or a 30" at 2560x1600... REALLY bites, just no going back.

Well, it must be. If it was as simple as checking a box they'd do it just to do it. With it being a "if there is enough demand" it is probably some complicated thing that would take a lot of effort, and they may not want to waste the time/money to do so if only 2% of the people playing the game would use it.

I really have no care for eyefinity. I would prefer the release of mod tools and such as they also mention.

You're wrong.

There are two ways that an image can be spanned across multiple monitors. One is to extend the field of view, the other is to stretch the image. Eyefinity extends the field of view, because (as you can see in the bottom example in the link below) stretching an image 300% would look horrible. That means Eyefinity users would get 300% the field of vision as non-Eyefinity users.

Buying a larger monitor, however, does not change the field of vision at all. It simply makes the objects larger (and possibly higher resolution) on your screen while maintaining the exact same scaling and field. There is no gameplay advantage to be had there, unless you want to argue that it's easier to see enemies on a 50" screen than it is on a 15", which is probably true, but entirely unavoidable.

In other words, unfair advantage. (Now, if they wanted to add it for just single player, whatever.)

In my opinion, pretty much useless. Pass.

Thanks to those of you who understand my plight. And for those who are against it, we know you're either jelous, too poor, or too unskilled to build a decent rig so I just feel sorry for you. I only dropped $570 on my Eyefinity setup and I'm very happy with it. As somebody else has stated, after you've played games in Eyefinity there's no going back. As for the advandtage gained from having a wider field of view. You can jack up your FOV on single screen giving you nearly the same picture, it just has an akward look to it. So, since anybody would be able to do that it's not cheating. Never has been. Eyefinity, 3D surround, it's the future of gaming. So get used to it.
