Lag in demo

I downloaded the demo, the gameplay is fun and all that, but there's one thing that annoys me.

There seems to be a constant stuttering in the graphics, and I can't find the reason for that.

My machine should be more than good enough to play at high settings, but just to make sure it's not my computer, I tried to play with very low graphics settings. I still get the same stuttering.

Any idea what might cause this / how to fix it?

All I can think of is the network..
I do get some stutters sometimes though, but usually not.

ATI Radeon HD 4670. This should be capable of dealing with low settings. Is an issue with ATI cards known?

It's probably not the internet connection, as my ping always is at about 30-40...

Yup, there are a few issues remaining with the ATI cards, we're still working on the optimization.

Nice to hear! Definitely gonna pick this up once the issues are gone. Will check the demo every now and then to see if it works better for me :)

I had some lag on a hd 5850 but I removed my router and ran straight to the modem, it helped a lot.

I know some lag is caused by the graphics engine but if all else fails make sure your internet connection is set up properly.
