white screen glitch

did i forget to download something? The title screen is completely white only displaying the icons. here's a picture

Try uploading the picture to a picture host, or using that new F12 screenshot for steam thing. I can't view this, others probably can't either.

I'm having this same exact problem.

Windows Vista Ultima 64x
ATI 6950 (With newest drivers, DL'ed them for Rage last week)

Not sure how to fix it. I guess I just lost 5 bucks.

Same here ATI (or AMD if you prefer) Radeon HD 5700 in an HP desktop running Win7x64 with Intel I7 930 @ 2.8 GHz.
No need for screenshot just scroll down and see that white comment box? That's what it looks like just a white box and only thing I can do is Task Manager kill it. Anybody have ideas on how to work around this? I was wanting to play a straight shoot em up, oh well guess I'll play something else.

Hard to say what you are trying to portray through way things worded
but my guess is the same thing that happen myself to the
Painkiller: Redemption title.
the froze left handtop side white grey screen upon loading initially
of the game while the movie startup is loading.
try:

Press the spacebar really fast while it's loading or

rename or delete the logo.bik word movies, one the bik is messed up
D:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\painkiller redemption\Data\movies

Thanks for the tip I'll try removing those files. I did just get it to run (before seeing your fast reply), after doing a Google search on topic and finding a thread on Steam in a support section (not Painkiller forum) that suggested (and it works) pressing Escape when you see White Screens and it appears locked up. I pressed escape a few times finally got to game menu and it's working fine. Here's link to that thread: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1095752.

cool I was hitting that esc spam key also lol just didn't know which ,
so it would pass that up &
break out the low resolution creation
to the menu to set the video resolution.
then should be fine.
