My mouse feels different than the other one I have, and they're both the same model!

My 1st Deathadder had a rubber top, but my 2nd Deathadder has a rough plasticy top. Why is that? :confused:

1st Deathadder:
-Rubber top
-Side buttons have a soft click
-Left and right buttons have a crisp click

2nd Deathadder:
-Rough plasticy top
-Side buttons have a crisp click
-Left button has a softish click, while the right button is crisp
