I'd really like to buy this if there's any multi-player community left?Would the only option be to find a decent PW server to play on?

What's best PW's with the highest daily player average?

thanks to anyone who will answer. :)

There's not a giant community, but it's steady. Most people that play multiplayer play on PW's. There's an ingame PW browser if you select multiplayer, and it is sorted by type (role play, action, "social" [eg adult] etc). Baldurs Gate: Sword Coast Chronicles is probably the largest server I know of, and they routinely have 80 or so players online at any given time. PW's vary greatly in focus, so you can try different ones until you find one you like. Fortunately, all you have to do is connect to one and the game will automatically download anything you need for that PW.

I don't play PW myself, so I can't recommend any.

With the release of NWN2 on Steam, it seems the number of players out there increased a good deal. Our PW is doing rather well. Well, I suppose that is a subjective term.

You mentioned looking for large player numbers. That can be good in some ways, but in other ways problematic, at least in my opinion.

We have a playerbase of about 20, with 6-10 on at any one time. This makes for great DM run events as well as a very tight-knit community where cyber fanboys, exploiters, and disruptive players are at a minimum. When I read posts from forums of PWs with tons of players (no one in particular, just an observation) I see rampant rudeness to other players and DMs, as well as tons and tons of whining. Our forums have nothing of the kind.

Quality, not quantity. Check us out http://worldoftalernon.com

Much of what Dragonsbane said about Talernon can be applied to Sea of Dragons as well. Fairly small playerbase, but they're dedicated and you don't find trash in the game or on the forum.

It would also help to know what type of server you are looking to find. As stated, Baldur's Gate is the biggest as far as player average (the only criteria you mentioned), but are you looking for a role play server? Action? Somewhere in between? And if it's role-play, do you want light, heavy, permadeath? There are a good deal of servers out there - enough to fill pretty much every category.

I prefer lite roleplay or action gameplay.I just want to be able to party up and do some dungeons and whatnot.

I'm not into the heavy roleplay where you're expected to stay "in character" even over chat.

Thanks for replies...

This is a screenshot of the Role Play tab, I took like 5 minutes ago. http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa257/tda-danny/Untitled-1.jpg

Wed night, decent amount of people. There are other popular tabs also. Considering the game came out 5 years ago, its still fairly popular.

You shouldn't have a hard time finding a PW with a good population.

I'm in the same alley as enoch420. I'd like a consistent larger multiplayer experience but I'm not into character roleplay. So far I've just been playing alone but I'd like to change that.

For RP persistent world, Dragoncoast.org has 50+ players daily.
