alright guys help understand this game. ive never played this game so need help to determine if its worth the purchase. what game does it resemble? what does it compare to? will it support for sli? is this a console port? does it support dx10 or above? i myself will support games that are made of pc and not console ports like the bull$hit C2 port, bulletf*ckingstorm, you know what i mean. yes i already have metro but might get the game anyways just to support the devs for making this pc centric game.
also can i run this game
specs are
6600 oc to 3.6gig
8gigs of ram
8800gtx sli means two cards in tandom

thanks for the help.

Highly resembles CoD4 and Battlefield Bad Company 2. Also compares to these two. Has unique twists and a fresh approach to the arcade military FPS genre.

Support for SLI is in.

It's basically custom built for the PC by Digital Extremes. So no, it ain't a console port.

Also, it probably is the biggest contender for CoD and BF at this point.

I say, support the company and let's bring in a serious competitor for bigger FPS franchises.

DX11 is included
It compares to Frontlines and Battlefield
It will support SLI
Unreal Engine 3.0 is a console engine...but luckily it can be heavily modified
The Devs are building it for Xbox 360 but they outsourced it to Digital Extremes who is doing alot of things that they want to do with the game but aren't changing any core features only graphics and pc essential features
2 8800GTX is okay

This game is one of the 3 big contenders for FPS of the year for 2011.

It's only serious competition is Brink (SMART will be revolutionary I think) and Battlefield 3 (hard to match that production value and quality).

I can't wait for the annual CoD to completely bomb.

Brink smells of fail....hopefully not.

And please...contender for FPS of 2011? With BF3 launching in autumn and with the coverage it's getting atm I seriously doubt any other title can bust it down.

Games like Homefront and Brink have one chance of taking shots at CoD to give them better opportunities in the future. I hate to break it like this, but let's be realistic. BF3 has been long awaited by a lot of folk out there.....

On the other hand the next CoD title will be soooo overshadowed....

Sorry but I cant help to notice your CPU to RAM to GPU ratios. The CPU could need a better overclock but that aside, go jump on some more future proof cards. The 8800īs were amazing some time ago and GTX 460 are great bang for the buck cards.

the cpu oc is the highest i can oc stable. any higher it fails to load windows or pass stress test. at this point i cant upgrade my system as money supply is low. need to pay bills. maybe in the future but not now.
as for my system
q6600 oc to 3.6 gig stable
8gigs of ram at 1000mhz
2 8800gtx sli at 610 mhz

yes the cards i have is showing its age but i can still play some games on high settings. metro is the one i cant play on high settings. crysis 1 playing on under enthusiats

Not sure how Brink smells of fail. Unless you're one of the people who think the SMART system is some sort of "I win" button.

And by contender, I mean contender. Not winner, I'm sure BF3 will be this year's biggest hit by a long shot but I think Homefront and Brink will be largely successful as well and in terms of gameplay, be some of the best out this year.

But in terms of popularity/sheer scale it will be Battlefield 3 hands-down.

But yeah, I agree with your last statement and I'm excited to see it. I wish we could get a look at Activision's collective faces when they see the sales reports of the next CoD clone compared to BF3. Would be absolutley hilarious.
