Victoria compatability...

Questions:

Im interested in the Victoria series. I would like to try the original first and it's expansion; Revolutions though Im worried that it's a old game. Does Victoria 1 and its expansion Revolutions have widescreen support and/or run on Win7 64 bit?

Secondly, I like the American Civil War era. Which version Vicotria 1 or Victoria 2 would be best to purchase to play this era under?

2, although you will run into update patch issues with the latest patch, whether this is Steam or Paradox as the main culprit, I cannot say, but they love to make you play follow the pointing finger, while they point to each other.
