Hi,
I've just noticed that Wolf 3D is availible to buy at Steam, but the requirements say that it needs a XP/Vista system. Does anyone know if the game will run on Win 7 64bit?

It does. It's packaged with DOSbox IIRC. It's been a while since I've played it, but it does run. :)

TWO WORDS. NEWWOLF. Sure Dosbox is great for emulating dosgames, BUT. NEW WOLF brings Wolf3d into OPENGL. you lose none of what made Wolf3d, you can even change the controls to be somewhat modern with the mouse for view and WADS for movement. There is no reason not to use Newwolf. I played through Wolf3d, and SOD and really enjoyed them, again. and yes it will run on W7 64bit. The only thing that doesnt work are the end Episode transitions, but thats minor, when you get 1024x768 resolutions mouse and wads controls, and a MAP.

Yes, the Wolfenstein 3D available on Steam includes all 6 episodes.
EDIT: I don't think it includes a map editor though. I think either the original floppies or the re-release on CD contained a map editor -- I remember using one and making my own level, at least.
Yeah, id has used DOSBox for some of these older games. What's great is that you can configure each file individually for the settings in the game.

You can force a 1024x768 resolution in DOSBox. Controls would be harder to do, but can be done. Since when did Wolfenstein 3D have a map? Neat though.

Best way to preserve the game's original graphics is to edit the wolf3d.conf file in your Steam\steamapps\common\wolfenstein 3d\base directory and change the following entries:
fullresolution=1920x1080 (enter your monitor's native resolution here, in my case it's 1920x1080)
aspect=true
