Should I still buy this game ?

I'm looking for a new MP game to play. It's a throw up between this game and latest Alien vs. Predator game.

Is the MP community still alive in this game ? It doesn't have to be extremely populated like BC2 or CoD Blops, but at least enough servers so that I can find a match any time.


Would it be better to just wait and buy Section 8: Prejudice ?

I would highly recommend waiting for Prejudice which will, interestingly, be both superior and less expensive. And I'm mildly hardcore about my S8. The beta for S8P was quite good. I am excited to put down my other games for it soon.

I typed a whole 'thing' and realized it all boiled down to 4 points:

1. AvP (if you're referring to the recent FPS) was a disappointment to a friend and me, FWIW. We're both firmly in the S8 camp.

2. Section 8 is a fun multiplayer game. It has an SP component that isn't bad; but it is short and isn't the focus of the game.

3. The game has bots, although they aren't zomg amayzangTWELVE. The bots make it possible to play solo, and 'co-op' with friends - a big plus for me.

4. Prejudice is right around the corner, and won't cost much.

I haven't played S8 in a few weeks and lately it's been solo or co-op, so I don't know what the S8 server population is; but I imagine most will migrate to Prejudice when it drops. I'm not trying to talk you out of buying S8; but if you're on the fence about S8 *because* Prejudice is coming, I'd recommend waiting for Prejudice rather than going with AvP.

Unless you're desperate, I would suggest you wait for S8: Prejudice.
