Vista Crashes

The game runs fine for me but every so often I get a random crash. I don't get any error messages and it doesn't seem to happen at a specific time so it is hard to tell exactly whats going on. Is there some kind of crash log somewhere? I would like to try and fix this problem if I can.

This isn't an OS specific problem, as far as I can tell. More like a problem with the engine itself, one that's persisted since the game's release eight years ago. It used to happen to me all the time as well. Then I made it a habit to save more often. While I didn't expect this to do much, I actually started to experience the crashes less frequently.
