I have put quite a bit of work into this strategy guide if anyone cares to check it out, www.cncguides.com. A lot of it is in Q & A format. I will continue to update it. Right now I am getting started on Galactic Conquest.

Man, thank you. Easily the best GSB(if toughest to navigate) resource I've seen so far. This'll definitely help me out, as the tutorial just barely tells you how to play.

This is great and very long! It should be linked in a sticky up top if it isn't already.

#65 is completely wrong though, and wrong in a way that overlooks one of the keys to doing well in the game.

Fighters with dual rockets and rocket/painter combo are one of the best tools for lopsided victories there is.

#94 is wrong too, that's a tractor beam

This is a great guide! I've adopted a few of the tips (like 1 engine cruisers) but for the most part it's the fact that your justifications for why you play how you do massively helped my understanding of the game to make my own decisions. Thank you!

I've played the demo of this a couple of times in the past and never seen the point of it. Now I got it in HIB I gave it a more serious go. For me, the explanation of shield and armour penetration (in both the manual and the above guide) was essential to my understanding of the point of the game and should be emphasised in the tutorial IMO.

I spent 2 hours playing it tonight. For me, the best game in the bundle by far. Having great refining my fleet as cost effective as possible to just survive each fight!

When I wrote my last post I had nothing, now I have every race, ship and module. Seriously this guide and its insanity has helped me understand this game so well, having a blast with it! I hope to god the dlcs go on sale before I give in a get the galactic conquest add on.
