No, for Central Europeans it is the 10th, which was five minutes ago - and the game unlocked and is playable. I believe it is only the UK that has the 11th as release date, as usual for EA games (Tuesday in US, Thu forEurope, Friday for UK).

It probably sees you are in the Middle East, which releases on the 11th of March.

Even if you bought with North American account.

Just hang in there dude.

Oh most funny thing will be if somehow steam release will be 1-2 hours later than planned, it will be soooooo unexpected :D

my friend who wasnt initially interested, just today decided to run into a brick store and buy it, is now playing it while im waiting, and got it for the same price. With real disks, manuals and more. I thought the whole preorder on steam, preload would mean I get it at the very least the same time that it is available in stores.

Steam/Valve isn't allowed to break the release date set by EA. If a store did this, it is the store's responsibility and they may face consequences for doing so (in theory anyway). The release date for Central Europe is on the 10th, and sharp at midnight I was able to unlock and play the game.

If you're dissatisfied with EA's release policy (and I agree it's nonsensical to have different release dates even for digital versions), you need to let EA know. Steam/Valve doesn't have the luxury to break this policy.

oh i understand its not steam/valves fault, but I would be dumb not to question why I preorder on steam in the first place.
edit. I just noticed there is a separate DA2 forum now.

Well, I guess it depends on whether you have a store in your area that is willing to sell it before the release date. The store where I used to buy my games (I gave up on buying boxes last year and just get digital versions now) wouldn't do that, so if I had ordered there, I'd have gotten it 9 hours later.

But yes, it's nonsense to have different release dates. It only upsets legitimate customers, harms online distribution, and makes people wonder why the frell they pay the same (or more) and then play later than others.

You do get the pre-order stuff, though. That's one thing your friend probably doesn't have.

at least you guys don't live in canada and have the problem. Steam thinks i live in Mars or something, won't let me play the damn game :(

Yep it is now after 0200 in the morning in the UK and I am still unable to play. still have the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pre-order sign. I am baffled seriously. Every other game I purchased pre order while here worked just fine at release.

What i find most hilarious is that its day 10 in any part of the world at this point.. yet steam still believes all Europe is currently in day 9. So much for having a free day.. this crap managed to ruin my mood today

I'm not sure I understand what you're referring to. I'm in Germany (which is undoubtedly in Europe), and my DA2 copy unlocked at 0:01 on the 10th, just like EA's release schedule said (25h ago).

If you're in the UK, the release date is on the 11th. It should unlock exactly this minute where I'm writing this post.
