Trine has just updated to v1.09 but when I try to launch the game from Steam I get the message:

"Steam - Error

The game is currently unavailable.
Please try again at another time."

The weird thing is that the game will load fine if I double-click on the TrineLauncher.exe in the game folder so why won't it work from Steam? It was playing fine the other day prior to the update so I presume that that must have caused the issue.

Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, doesn't work for me either from the Steam client. Probably a temporary problem that will get solved after a while.

As mentioned in the first post, the game works if you go to the game directory and use the trine_launcher.exe or the actual trine.exe to launch the game. I'll update the patch notes tomorrow (but basically this is just a minor patch, iZ3D for all versions and Romanian and European Portuguese languages).

Here's hoping the client issue gets solved soon!

It's working for me now. Restarted my computer and launched the game again, it flashed a dialog box that said something like "please wait while steam unlocks game files" and then loaded.

Redownloading solved the problem!

Possibly something related to a system restoration I did yesterday.
