Vanguard Games is working on another game, set in the same world as Greed Corp, but it's a bullet hell style shoot-em-up rather than a metered, gentlemanly strategy game.

Personally, I like the idea of releasing multiple games--with unique mechanics and storylines--from a single franchise with an overarching fiction and I'm glad to see it here.

I agree with you about releasing multiple games with different mechanics. I absolutely love the Greed Corp world and this game also looks very fun. If they continue this approach, I think a Mistbound RTS would be very cool. On topic, I wonder what will make this game different from other twin stick shooters.

Makes me feel like playing Sonic Adventure 2 Battle as Tails or Eggman.

I hope there won't be another huge gap between the pc version and the console version like with Greed Corp.

I'm glad they're expanding the Greed Corp world. It seems like there is a lot of room for growth and exploration, and it's nice to see them capitalizing upon the opportunity. I hope the game is engaging.

You know what would have been awesome?

If that link actually went to the trailer.

In other news: that games looks about 1,000,000x as much fun as Greed Corp.

And I'm not even saying I didn't have (some) """""""""""""fun""""""""""""" at G.C. Just saying.....

Considering I wrote this post five months ago as of Thursday, I think it's entirely possible the website I linked to has changed in the interval. You might have a misnomer, there.

Okay so Gatling Gears came out on Steam today. 10 bucks. The games on sale this week on 360 for 5 bucks. If you have a 360 may as well save 5 bucks.

It’s a shame they partnered with EA for this game which means extra DRM when buying from Steam...

Indeed.

I like Shoot'Em'Ups alot and from the video I was ready to buy gstling gears.

The store page that said I needed to accept EA's Origin and the install limit as well made me go "What the hell????" though.

Sorry guys, but your distributor made a sale into a no-sale as far as I am concerned. Would have loved to buy and play the game, but not under those conditions.

Why's there no Steam Acchievements? Greed Corp and other EA published indie games like Shank and Deathspank had them.

Actually it seems pretty easy to log in with whatever EA is using. I just had to enter my cd key and log in with my EA account. It was less painful than GFWL actually. The game also runs great and seems bug free.

The only problem I have been having so far is my hud is missing or invisible which is a huge problem because I cant see objectives, ammo counters or health.

Waving my wallet in the air while I'm walking down a dark alley inthe worst part of town is real easy too, doesn't make me any more inclined to do it.

I'm not touching BF3 because of origin, and I certainly isn't going to start touching other products that uses its name under stuff I need to accept in order to play the game. The activation limit on top for gatling gears is just a plain insult towards legit buyers, tbh.

Thats fair enough man. I was also hesitant to buy it for the same reasons. I'm not trying to convince anyone to buy the game but just share my experience with dealing with the game's EA service. If anyone is on the fence; in my experience, the game seemed to work fine but you will have to log in to your EA account everytime you boot up the game. Also, my hud issue seemed to fix itself and the game seems stable, smooth and bug free on my low spec system and looks great. So take from that what you will.

Also, where the heck is the gatling gears forum?

Don't think it uses Steamworks.
