Yep, won't get dealt with unless people report it.

Always report this type of behavior via the 'Report' button on the community homepage. This is sent directly to the VALVe team and all reports are viewed daily.

I'm always happy when things like this happen to me. Screwing around with the would-be hijacker is so much fun :)

So they can screw us over like Microsoft for £8 if i want to change my name.

No thanks.

The ppl who fall for these scams need to use a little more common sense.

he ppl who fall for these scams need to use a little more common sense.Good point here. But maybe a little text like "Valve will never contact you here" on top of every chat window might help.

It's already exist.

It's like Sticky Threads, when it's obvious, no one read/see them.

It's like Sticky Threads, when it's obvious, no one read/see them.Let me say it again: In the chat window. It's not like everyone reads the forums before chatting. What I totally second is pointing new users to the account security support article (AFAIK Valve are already doing that, but I'm not sure).
Pointing new users to some forum threads is unprofessional.

There's a link at the top of every chat box saying "Never tell your password to anyone".

There's a link at the top of every chat box saying "Never tell your password to anyone".Well, right, there's a warning about unofficial "Steam" pages too.
