Just bought my sis a new hp g62435DX, looks nice, but its really buggy, the came and mic perform like crap, cam is slow and choppy, mic is quiet and static, tried all diff drivers and even updated bios and still no luck, The budget is $450 and it has to come from best buy instore, i have found other few laptops in the same price range, so which ones should be better?

Hmmm I hate dell with a passion..

I'll take the ASUS based on brand and the fact I seen some crap about there laptops having a low failure rate..

Don't ask me to find the dame article ether you can google for your self..

The only issue with the hp is the cam, its a .3 mp came which is slow and blurry, after reading peoples reviews, all laptops with same webcame have the same issue, so im guessing to get a better came i need a higher budget, it wouldnt be a issue but my sis is into the skype and cam chat alot!!

I've never heard of ASUS's computers being crap. I have one myself, and still good after 3 years.

+1 vote on Asus for me.

My Asus laptop is still kicking butt after a year.

I would get an HP DM1 if I wanted a ~$500 lappie. Performs alright, great battery life, good build quality.
