Is it possible to use the middle mouse button (like it works in Empire and Shogun 2) to look around? I've tried all the camera modes, the remapping but none seem to give me the camera freedom like I have in Empire.

I dont think so. I think they introduced that as a new feature to the Total War series in Empire because so far Empire+ TW games have a completely remapped control configuration than Medieval 2, Rome, etc.

Ty for the response. Be nice if there was a mod to do this. Camera control is a gamebreaker for me so guess I'll head to empire.

Actually you might not want Empire due to as it has ALOT of problems with ALOT of people and if you have a pretty good pc as far as gpu and the such, then get Shogun 2.
