I see a problem there, the processor. This game likes a fast quadcore (4ghz+ i5/i7 for the best experience) It scales well with CPU overclock. Keep in mind Crysis isn't half as demanding as ArmA II, at least not on the CPU. The multiplayer on the other hand, isn't as demanding since there are no AI units eating up your CPU cycles. Try the demo before buying.

I have even with my laptop some poor performance. Well i run Crysis 1 perfect on max, and Crysis 2 on extreme without any problems. But when it come's to Arma 2 serie. Well i have everything on high. (high is normal settings in advanced) and even then i have some lag. My laptop cost me 1.562,77 dollars (1100) euros and still no good performance on Arma 2 serie. This laptop is from Republic Of Gamers (Asus) and build for many games. I5, GTS360m with 4 gb. I run everything perfect but not Arma 2 serie.

Well it still looks amazing but i like Arma 2 serie alot and im still playing since the release. This summer im going to build an new high-end desktop pc. Sow i don't think Arma 2 will run great on your laptop. Well it would be playable but only on low settings.

I ran the game fine on a Core 2 Duo with 2x 2,4Ghz, so that i3 should be fast enough. I'm pretty sure you can run this game fine.

Ignore the demo, as far as I know it's using terribly outdated code and has much worse performance than current versions.

I have a very slightly stronger CPU and a much worse video card. The news ain't too good, depending on your expectations.

Turn down the resolution, put view distance at 2000m, disabe all eyecandy, play on well-optimized maps (Shapur, Utes, Desert, Fallujah, Kesh-Qibrul, CA1) and keep the AI numbers low. Then you should get acceptable fps.

Also, take pains to see that your machine keeps cool, or it will probably throttle.

I don't know if your harddrive is fast, that helps a lot.
